PRESENT CONTINUOUS (presente continuo)

El Presente Continuo o Presente Progresivo es un tiempo verbal que se utiliza para expresar acciones que suceden en el mismo momento en que se está hablando, por ejemplo:

I am speaking English. Yo estoy hablando inglés. (Está sucediendo ahora).

You are reading a book. Tú estás leyendo un libro.
He is studying the lesson. Él está estudiando la lección.
She is buying a hat. Ella está comprando un sombrero.
It is raining. Está lloviendo.
We are sleeping. Nosotros estamos durmiendo.
You are dancing in the street. Ustedes están bailando en la calle.
They are walking in the park. Ellos están caminando en el parque.

FORMACIÓN DEL "PRESENT CONTINUOUS" El "present continuous" de cualquier verbo se compone de dos partes:  el presente del verbo to be + el "present participle" del verbo principal. (Para formar el "present participle": raíz+ing, e.g. talking, playing, moving, smiling) Afirmativa Afirmativa Sujeto + to be + raíz + ing She             is              talking. Negativa Sujeto + to be    + not     + raíz  +      ing She               is   not (isn't)    talking Interrogativa to be + sujeto + raíz + ing Is              she      talking?
